As the Faithful Navigator of Assembly 1667, It’s my pleasure to be a contributor to the website. I became the FN for Assembly 1667 in 2023 and am now in the third year of my two-year commitment. At the time, the Assembly was close to folding, however several of us transferred in from another assembly in an effort to keep it afloat and grow it. Why? Because it was named for one of our favorite Priests from St. Mary Magdalen Church, Monsignor Ed Thompson. The Monsignor Ed Thompson Assembly 1667 is currently comprised of three Councils; 5618 serving St. Mary Magdalen Parish, 5357 serving All Souls and Nativity Parishes and 15266 serving St. Augustine Parish. And lately we have been growing. Last year we added four new members and we have 6 more candidates lined up to join us at the next exemplification. We would like to invite more brother Knights from Council 5618, so please consider joining. There is still time to get in on the next exemplification. The Fourth Degree supports active military, veterans and first responders through works of charity and service. Our Color Corp members participate in community events – especially on patriotic holidays – and serve at funerals for our brother Knights. We meet at 7pm on the 2 nd Monday of every month at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Myrtle Ave. in Sanford, starting with a Rosary prayer at 6:30pm and ending with food and fellowship around 8:00pm. Please reach out to me and I’ll be happy to give you more information on how to join.
